The backyard was an entire galaxy. Every branch, every leaf, every patch of dirt was a world all its own, full of life. The larger animals were living spaceships, carrying fleas and other small life forms from world to world. Life here was a constant dance, sometimes of professional quality and sometimes amateur. Sometimes, when the galaxy was very quiet, its inhabitants could hear other galaxies, full of other worlds and other souls.

Natalie’s eyebrows are a good pair of glasses. With them, things are so clear and understandable. Without them, the world seems fuzzy and confusing. They let people read what is written on her face, like reading glasses. Natalie’s eyebrows let people see truths.
