Dear Tattoo Guy, written advice

Dear Tattoo Guy,

Tattoos are pretty cool. If you’re worried about pain, I’ve heard that it’s best to get it somewhere fleshy. For example, my aunt had one on her calf, which she said didn’t hurt at all. On the other hand, I knew someone who had a tattoo on the top of their foot, which if very un-fleshy, and they said it was not a pleasant experience. If you want to be able to see the tattoo whenever you want, don’t get it on your back or somewhere else that is difficult to look at.

Remember not to get a tattoo that you may later regret, as it is both painful and difficult to have one removed. Do not get “I luv (insert name of current love interest here)” when you have only been dating for a few weeks. If and when you break up, you’ll be left trying to figure out how to hide the old tattoo under a beluga whale or something. And until you manage to hide that tattoo, you can expect your dating life to hit a snag.

Also, do some research about potential tattoo artists. If you hear that one guy is cheap but does a crappy job, save your money for a bit longer and go to someone who’s a bit more expensive but does a better job.

Best of luck,

Viking
