Haunted House -- A Narrative Poem

In a dark room of an old and haunted house

Lived a small child all alone in the world.

This child had no friends or pets; not even a mouse

Would stay in this house where horrors unfurled

This little child wanted to play with someone

And not to be all alone in life,

But nobody would come to her haunted home;

No one wanted to stay in this house of strife.

One day this little child made a decision

To bring someone into her home.

The child crept to the window for this mission,

And saw another child who looked alone.

The little child lured her into the house

And made it so she could not leave.

As they played together, the little child was fouse

And happy not to be alone, and no longer grieved.
